Property

Your solicitor is a very significant player in any property transaction which you may become involved in, whether it is in relation to buying a property or selling one, renting a property, developing a site, mortgaging or re-mortgaging.  We have extensive experience in the area of property conveyancing and will guide you through the very complex matters that arise in a knowledgeable and efficient way and with an eye to maintaining cost effectiveness for your transaction.

As a person engaged in a property transaction you should be aware that in addition to legal fees there can be other costs and outlays involved.  These could include a valuers or surveyors report and fees due to government agencies, including stamp duties and Land Registry fees.

We will be happy to give you an advance quotation of the likely costs and outlays which might apply in any particular transaction in which you may become involved.

In addition to the normal buying and selling of property, we also advise tenants and landlords in respect of their rights and obligations.  Residential tenants are entitled to 4 weeks notice to quit if asked to vacate a property.  Landlords should be aware of the advisability of carefully drafting a letting agreement or lease to include all relevant factors or special requirements that might need to be agreed between the parties.
